Animal testing is cruel and inhumane yet they don’t have a choice in what is happening to them. These tests cause a lot of pain to the animals and the condition in which they are held captive for experimentation is not at all safe or healthy for the animals. They are used and suffer from force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, long periods of restraint and get burned on purpose just so scientists can study the healing process. Animals don’t get many of the diseases that normal people get, such as Parkinson’s disease, major types of heart disease, many types of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, HIV or schizophrenia. Most of the time treatments that effectively help the animal rarely works in humans. Also rabbits, mice, guinea pig, hamster, and rats are routinely blinded then poisoned and then finally killed just to test new cosmetic products and their ingredients.

- Mice and rats are tested for the safety of drugs in humans but it’s only accurate about 43% of the time
